DetroitBikes! Monthly bike tours of Detroit, leisurely pace, free.
Ride of Silence: An annual, national, slow-paced bicycle ride that takes place the third Wednesday of May to honor those cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. The Detroit Ride of Silence 2016 will be on May 18 at Belle Isle leaving from Shelter 8E promptly at 7 pm. The 10-mile ride will head west to Comerica Park and back utilizing Lafayette and Atwater as primary routes.
Cycle Into Spring: Ride the eastside! Fifth Annual fundraiser for the Conner Creek Greenway. May 7, 2016.
Critical Mass: Last Friday of every month, 6:30 pm @ the corner of Warren & Trumbull.
Bike The Bridge: Tentative date of October 9, 2016. Only chance of the year to bike across the Ambassador Bridge!
Tour de Troit: The state’s largest bike ride, a fundraiser for local greenways. This one’s MEGA-AWESOME! September 17, 2016.
People for Palmer Park: Thursday night rides, 7 pm.
Slow Roll: Monday night cruises take off from various spots at 8 pm.
Bikes & Yoga: Thursday nights May through September. Ride Belle Isle then wind down with some gentle yoga. Great, free event.
Bike to Work: An annual event that encourages commuting to work by bicycle in the Motor City. May 20, 2016.
Handlebars for the Homeless: The Neighborhood Service Organization's annual bike ride to benefit the homeless. August 7, 2016.
WSU Baroudeur Ride: Raises funds to benefit students who embody the baroudeur spirit in their academic endeavors. August 20, 2016.
UDM Midnight Ride: An annual 20-25 mile ride that highlights some of Detroit's historic districts. September 16, 2016.
