If you’re looking to give the gift of “buying where you ride” consider the oh-so-convenient gift card or certificate from your favorite neighborhood bike shop! We’re even offering $10 off digital gift certificates for rentals and tours.
GIFT CARDS
You can purchase a gift card in any denomination. We will mail it free of charge to either the gifter or the giftee. A personalized, hand-written note card can be included as well.
Gift cards can be used towards any retail purchase, any bicycle service (idea: a standard tuneup is $75 so they’ll be ready to roll come Spring), or towards a private tour.
It couldn’t be easier: just fill out this handy dandy FORM and we will call you at the time you request to complete the purchase.
NB: Please get us that email by December 13 so we can be sure to get your card to a post office by the recommended Christmas mailing deadline of December 15.
ONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATE
We also offer online gift certificates, which can be used to reserve a rental bike or towards a spot on a public tour. These do not expire and can be emailed to the recipient on a date that you specify.

October Tour Overview
This is it, the last month of our public tour season…We still have a few tours with open spots, so jump on before it’s too late to ride with us this season!
There are openings for Corktown 10/12 and Auto Heritage 10/13.
We always wrap up our season with our popular Haunted Detroit tour. We are offering four to close out our season; there are at least a few spaces available on 10/19, 10/26, and 10/27 — and for whatever reason, 10/20 is wiiiiide open. If you’d like to book a private one for your group, reach out to Linda ASAP to get rolling on your preferred date and time.
We’ve had a wonderful 2024 exploring Detroit. Thank you to our friends from all over the globe and our own backyard who’ve ridden with us this year!

September Tour Overview
Just two months of tours left this season! Here’s a brief rundown of how September’s are shaping up.
This Sunday’s Architecture tour has openings on it — which is unusual as it typically sells out far in advance. [Checks reservations…Yep, October’s is already fully booked!]
It’s the final month for our weekday tours, which are shorter in time and mileage than our weekend outings and are commensurately less expensive. Join us for Riverwalk/Dequindre Cut on the 12th and 27th and Eastern Market on the 17th.
Spots are still open for Belle Isle 9/15, Southwest Detroit 9/21, and Auto Heritage 9/22.
Get ready for October’s Haunted expeditions! We are offering four to close out our season.
Tour de Troit Rentals
On September 14, the annual Tour de Troit will hit the streets and Wheelhouse will be there in support. The ride will start and finish at Riverside Park in Southwest Detroit.
Coming in from out of town or facing the facts that your bike may not be quite ready for this year’s ride? Not to worry! We offer event bicycle rentals — with an option for delivery to the ride start available! Find out more and book HERE.
The shop will be open 9/14 regular hours of 11AM-6PM.
Wheelhouse Labor Day Weekend
Happy Labor Day Weekend! We are open 11AM to 6PM Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 8/31-9/2. We will be available for walk-in rentals and quick on-the-spot fixes such as gear and/or brake adjustments and tube replacements. Plus, we have some great bikes available for purchase and a few spots are still open on Saturday’s Music Heritage Bicycle Tour.

August Tour Update
Preaching to the choir I’m sure but, really, it’s August?!?!? You thought you had all summer to join us on a tour, but time is a-tickin’…so hop on one before it’s too late! Here is an overview of this month’s availability.
Tours with limited availability: Saturday’s Belle Isle Tour (8/3) has just one opening and Sunday’s Public Art (8/4) has four; Poletown August 10 and 11 each has one spot available; Architecture on the 18th has three; and Corktown on the 24th has two.
Tours with more spaces include: Eastern Market 8/6 and 8/20, Riverfront/Dequindre Cut 8/15 and 8/29, Music Heritage 8/17 and 8/31, and Auto Heritage 8/25.
